I am back to my first love --- Arts and Crafts.
When I was in Miriam grade school, I was inclined to some artsy fartsy stuffs. We get to choose what club to join and we attend the club once or twice a week depending on the schedule. When I was in grade 1, I attended the Art Club. Came grade 2, I tried Ballet and I had the chance to perform at CCP during our Ballet Recital of the Swan Lake. In grade 3, I decided to try Arts and Crafts. I learned some paper arts including origami and lettering. From grades 4-7, I decided to go back to the Arts Club. My favorite part was when we were in Grade 6 or 7 and it was no longer called Art Club. The teacher said that since we are slowly maturing the club will be called 'The Young Artist Club'. Grade 7 was my favorite because we were taught how to do oil painting.
But why am I back to doing some serious arts? I remember when I was choosing what course to take in College, one of my options was Fine Arts or Interior Design. But because during those times, Arts was just a hobby for some rich people and it was not considered a high paying job, I opted to study Business Administration. 10 years have passed by and the last painting I did was in 2005. Today, there is a new generation of artisans who are reviving arts and crafts and I WANT TO BE A PART OF IT.
During one of our coffee discussions, Fr Lando said, we need to live our passion in order to fuel the very challenging tasks that are bestowed upon us. So today, I resolve to live my long lost passion for deeper level of Arts and Crafts to fuel the very challenging tasks of bid managing and future lawyering. 😘
So help me God. 🙏💒
