Body Pump
Body Pump is an exercise introduced by Les Mills. In a session, the instructor will let you choose the weight which suits you the most. You will have to set up all the equipments including the handheld with bar, snap lock collars, weight plate, step set-up, and mat. In Body Pump, the instructor will make you do 70 to 100 repetitions and works for the whole body. For those who would like to tone their bodies, this is the best exercise. What is happy about this is that I do this every Tuesday together with my friends.
Hot Flow and Body Balance
Hot Flow is a workout practised in a room with 37 degree room. The poses are held in longer seconds to maximize muscle compression and participants' focus. I like doing this because it helps keep me relaxed given that I am a hot-tempered person.
In the same room above, we do Body Balance. Body Balance is part of the Les Mill program which consists of Tai Chi, Yoga and Pilates. Tai Chi is used for warm-up, Yoga for balance and Pilates for building the core. This workout helps build balance, strength and focus all at the same time.
Among the three, my favorite is Body Balance. It allows me to sweat, build focus and strength. It also helps clear my mind and allows me to perform better at work.
Because we are enrolled for 11 months now, my friend Liza and I get to upgrade our membership to First Club. First Club members enjoy additional perks such as discounts and a chance to bring a friend or family member every weekends for free.
This coming holiday, I have no other plans but to hit the gym. Here is the schedule for North Edsa classes:
They say that fitness requires a total change in lifestyle. Exercising is just 30% of the total fitness plan. 70% is credited to food and other fitness plans. Hence, to be physically fit would require passion, commitment and self discipline. Thank God that this 2014, I said yes to this challenge. Come and journey with me as I embark the Fitness world.
Thanks for reading!☺️
