2013 League of the Extraordinary

The difference between ordinary and extraordinary is that little extra.
-Unknown
Here is the list of those extraordinary people who inspired me in 2013. May you also be blessed by their lives as they continue to inspire more people, all for His greater glory.

MY CO-SERVANT LEADERS AT COY NOVA

Alloy Peralta
Before the year ends, I want to honor a brother, a friend, a co-servant leader who went through a lot but is still strong and fighting for what he believes in. You are now a grown-up man, lil bro. Thank you for always being there for ate from some meetings I can't attend to ---- to listening to me ---- to praying for me ---- to giving me a rosary which serves as a reminder for me to pray always. I will forever look up to you because you inspire me especially in pursuing continuous learning - despite your busy sched you still take time to study in the evening. Lapit na graduation mo sa masters. Alam ko, we are not perfect beings, but we acknowledge that and we always draw strength from God, gaya ng turo ni Tatay sa atin. Most importantly, nagsasaluhan tayo lagi dahil alam natin na ang kalakasan ng isa ay mapupunuan ang pagkukulang ng isa. Continue to live for Him. Thank you for everything.
John Earl Jarabe
Before the year ends, I want to honor a Kuya, a co-servant leader, a travel buddy and most importantly a man who inspire me to stay humble despite everything. Thank you for always listening to my concerns and challenges. Thank you for being strong for all of us especially when we are drowning at work/in school/ministry. Thanks Kuya sa happy trip to HK, food trips whenever and wherever, inuman sessions with matching 'whats happening and all' at sa lahat lahat ng good/happy memories in 2013. Looking forward a lifetime of friendship with you and the others. Thank you for facilitating all the JAMs and for leading the logistics team this year. Thanks for everything.

You have been there for all of us especially when we don't know what to do. Indeed, you are a real visionary because you lead with a vision and excellence. I pray that God may fulfill all the desires of your heart as you continue to put Him first in everything you do. Thank you also for loving our friend, Marlyn. May you both be an excellent example for love and friendship in the ministry. May your relationship inspire all of us to love more and to live more for God's glory. Stay happy always and continue to excel in life. Thank you for everything.
Mikael Fidel Enriquez
Before the year ends, I just want to thank a brother, a friend and a co-servant leader. This 2013, you belong to my league of extraordinary. You inspire me so much for building your clinic, for doing extra mile and studying at the same time, for being the adviser of your PYM and developing more leaders in Fatima/CTKV, for leading iShare and going the extra extra mile delivering wonderful results in Kalye Krus and even going the extra extra extra mile in leading the iBeLIVE Campaign, mentoring Kim, Maria, JZ, Echo and Ja. Before the year ends, I want to honor a brother, a friend, and a co-servant leader. Thank you for being a great example of leadership for all of us when you said YES in leading the WYD-Rio 2013 Delegation. It was a hard task but you said YES because you know the greater purpose behind. Thank you for also leading the delegation with high importance for formation. Isa ka sa mga tinatanong ko kapag hindi ko naiintindihan ang mga bagay-bagay. Thank you for listening. Thank you also for inspiring us to pursue continuing learning. I am a proud friend when you got in Ateneo Law. Sabi ko, wow, nauuso na sa youth ministry ang great leaders with a passion for personal development. Thank you for loving Ja and for inspiring us that true love exists in the ministry. Nakakatuwa kayoing dalawa. Super bagay, perfect. Because you deactivated but still I want to honor you before the year ends, a sister, a bestfriend, a confidant, a good listener, a co-worker, a co-servant leader. Thank you for always being there for me. Thank you for inspiring me to put my family first. I congratulate you for helping your sister Laiza finish her studies and for sending Lea to school. I also want to congratulate you for helping build your house. Bihira gumagawa nun kasi uunahin nila sarili nila. Ikaw, you are so selfless. You always put your family first. Hindi alam ito ng iba, pero ganun kang anak ang kapatid. Thank you for leading the vicariate sessions, we finished it with excellence and love in 11 vicariates. You sacrificed all your weekends from september just to get this done. Thank you also for leading the Youth Congress, you are a very quiet leader but you make sure your task is done with love. Thank you for everything from the small stuffs you do for me at work and in the ministry, to our kwentuhans and asarans. Love you Liza. You will forever be treasured.

Before the year ends, I want to honor a friend, a travel-mate, a Deigo loves family member, a co-servant leader. Thank you for your excellent work in the ministry. Mala-corporate na posters and promo materials for the whole COY Nova including WYD Rio. Without your excellent work of art, we could not invite a lot of people to our activities. Bukod dun, you have very generous heart for always going the extra mile in helping each of us --- daanan sa C5 si Liza, si Joane sa Techno, ako sa bahay at kung anu-ano pa. Daig mo pa si Dora sa wit and galing sa map. I will forever treasure the moments we shared together mapa-Amsterdam, madrid, HK, DYD, Kapati-Run at kung anu-ano pa.. :) <3 Thank you Hazeeee.  MY FAVORITE MENTOR, FR LANDO WITH BISHOP
Fr Lando Jaluag
Before the year ends, I want to honor a very important person in my life, my mentor and friend, the man who taught me and many what servant-leadership means in words and in actions.

Fr. Land for many, Padre Gwapo for the youth. Fr. Land is the youth director of the Commission on Youth of the Diocese of Novaliches. He is my mentor. He taught me how to be a good servant leader and manager. He inspires me to be the best that I can be for my fellow youth. I met Fr. Land when he was still a brother and during that time he was the assistant youth director. When he was a deacon he was already the youth director. Today, he is still the youth director, a parish priest and book author. Fr. Land inspires me that 'I am God's masterpiece' --- and that I should always 'Fall in love, stay in love with God and it will decide everything' (Arrupe).

Thank you for everything, Fr Land. Thank you for the friendship, for the guidance, for the love and for teaching us that we should all lead by example. Thank you for your practical teachings that we can use in our day to day lives. Thank you for being part of each and every one of us. You are a concrete channel of God's love to all of us. Maraming salamat Padre Gwapo! Mahal na mahal ka namin! Happy New Year!
 MY FAVORITE LOVE

Nikko Camba
Before the year ends, I want to honor a man, a boyfriend, a bestfriend, my forever travel buddy, photography-mate, food buddy, now a co-servant leader and my co-journeyer in life.

One of my favorite quotes to describe us is this ― “We are all a little weird and life is a little weird, and when we find someone whose weirdness is compatible with ours, we join up with them and fall in mutual weirdness and call it love.” Yeah, its TRUE LOVE. haha! :))

This year, I want to thank you for all my requests that you granted, missions accomplished, for sticking with me through thick and thin and for making my 2013 such a happy and memorable one.

For food trips we enjoyed, travels we made, accomplishments and achievements we did because we have each other, YEY for us kasi sabi nga ni Nicholas Sparks ― “The best love is the kind that awakens the soul and makes us reach for more, that plants a fire in our hearts and brings peace to our minds. And that's what you've given me. That's what I'd hoped to give you forever” ***MUSHY ALERT***

In January, I met your family - your mom, dad, Nel and Jeric. Now, I have a new sister and brother.

In February, I met you mom's side of the family. I have new tito's and tito's. Still in Feb, we celebrated V-Day with so much love. You never fail to amaze me.

In April, we had a lot of Sambokojin moments plus we tried Ice Bar.

In May, we went to Boracay, experienced water sports and some movies to end our month.

In June, we had a lot bonding moments not to mention exploring great food in the Metro.

In July, we celebrated our 1st year together with a BANG and we went to a lot of places together: HK, Subic and some family bonding with your Mom's side of the family.

In August, we tried Wensha, we went to Lara's wedding and assisted the couple, I cooked for you and we attended Live Pure and other COY activities.

In September, our DYD adventures started, we attended events together and we had our usual Satur-Dates.

In October, we had a lot of bonding moments and events we attended together plus Baguio.

In November, we went to Divisoria and you commuted for the second time with me plus youth congress, DYD stuffs and some iHop Dinner.

In December, we had a lot of bonding moments, you made my birthday a very special one and very memorable experience for me, we attended several Christmas parties and some MMFF movie together.

If I am to write everything, this post will end up as a novel so I just captured the highlights for our 2013.

Sabi nga, 'Unless it is mad, passionate, extraordinary love, do not waste your time. There are so many mediocre things in life, LOVE shouldn't be one of them.'

For making my life happy and full of JOY, for being the most extraordinary man in my life and for making the ride worth it, I love you!

More blessings for us and our families this 2014! Cheers for More Promotions, More Love, More Achievements! HAPPY NEW YEAR! 2014 IS OUR YEAR!
