Last July, my sister went to Brazil for World Youth Day (WYD). She bought Havaianas for me and my boyfriend. But the slippers is more than just a pasalubong from her. It means something more than that.I've been joining for the past two World Youth Days - Sydney & Madrid. I was one of the chosen delegates of our diocese. Since I learned about the 2013 WYD, I encouraged my sister to go there because for me, it was like imparting what I learned by asking her to go there as well. Also, I would like her to experience the once in a lifetime chance of attending the biggest Finally, she went through the normal application and acceptance process. Fast forward, she attended and came back home overflowing with God's love and more empowered to serve. Another thing I am thankful for is that the renewed closeness of our relationship. WYD helped me become closer to my sister. It was very clear for me that it was God's will indeed.
