Date a Boy who Serves

Inspired by the Date a Boy who travels, I wrote another blog on Dating a Boy who Serves.

Date a boy who serves. Date a boy who values friendship over cars, an activity for a worthy cause rather than a luxury watch. Date the boy who is passionate about service that considers travels as a blessing from God. Date a boy who serves, who has a heart of faith to love others and not contained in one's own self.

You might find him at work, in a community outreach activity, Church or a youth camp - leading others, more so, serving others.

You'll know it's him because when you peek at his computer screen his background will be a Church activity, his friends or his family. His Facebook friend count will be over-the-roof and his wall will be plastered with a lot of inspiring stories. When he speaks, people listen to Him. He is charismatic, his aura is unusual that although he looks normal, his heart radiates God's presence.

Accompany him in his activities, in talks, out of town camps and team buildings he facilitates.
He is a leader, an initiator, a man of action. He assumes responsibility, hates apathy and rejects passivity. He leads with passion and enthusiasm. He leads with a heart of a servant and amidst everything, he remains humble.

He is not silent in the midst of arguments and of sin. He is courageous. He does not fear man. But he speaks the truth in love and with great tact.

He does not give in when he is challenged, attacked or criticized. Instead, he holds on to God. He knows that everything he does is for a worthy cause and that He does not defy these challenges with his own strength because he believes in a greater being whom he knows will help him in everything he does.

You will smile every time you see him live his passion. You will have kids so passionate about life and who makes sure that they are living worthy lives. He will introduce your children to God and in loving God more than any. You will make a home together - a happy home with so much warmth and love. You will walk through life together and he will love you dearly. He will spend his days making you happy and giving you everything.

Date a boy who serves because you deserve it. You deserve a boy who can give you his heart and love you.

Or better yet, date a boy who loves God more than any.”

Note: I am grateful to God that He gave me a man who serves - at work, at home and everywhere he goes. Love you Nikko! :)

Date a girl who serves

Just got inspired with the blogs on date a girl who travels/reads/etc so I made my own.

“Nothing is more practical than finding God,
That is, than falling in a love in a quite absolute, final way.
What you are in love with, what seizes your imagination will affect everything.
It will decide what will get you out of bed in the mornings,
What you will do with your evenings,
How you spend your weekends,
What you read,
Who you know,
What breaks your heart,
And what amazes you with joy and gratitude.
Fall in love, stay in love, and it will decide everything.”
― Pedro Arrupe

Date a girl who serves. Date a girl who spends time thinking how to be more for others instead of how to be pretty or so. She has problems thinking what great ideas she can do in helping a kid go to school or how a malnourished child become full. Date a girl who is passionate about service that all she thinks about are projects and programs for the betterment of the people around her.

Find a girl who serves. You know that she does because she spends weekends in the Church, in the ministry and some worthy cause. She is the one who spends time improving herself because she knows that in order to help others, she must be equipped with the right skills and thoughts.

She is the girl who spends so much time thinking how she can inspire the youth, how she can improve the present systems, how she can draw others to God. She prays for you and your family. She has faith that with God all things are possible. She believes that when she puts God first, everything follows. She is the girl who offers everything for the glory of God. That is why all her works are made with love and excellence. She sees to it that when you look at her, you see Jesus in her.

It's easy to date a girl who serves. She would rather serve you than you pleasing her. Give her your time instead of anything for her birthday. Accompany her in projects and activities she does. Let her know that you are there for her as she does her own thing. She might not prioritize you but she does this because she knows that putting God first would help the both of you.

You will propose to her in a Church or in an activity she does for others. Or very casually during a sweet talk.

You will smile every time you see her live her passion. You will have kids so passionate about life and who makes sure that they are living worthy lives. She will introduce your children to God and in loving God more than any. You will make a home together - a happy home with so much warmth and love. You will walk through life together and she will love you dearly. She will spend her days making you happy and giving you everything.

Date a girl who serves because you deserve it. You deserve a girl who can give you her heart and love you more than any.

Or better yet, date a girl who loves God more than any.
